Connect your Meta account to the platform
Guide for customers · Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp · ~5 minutes
What you will NOT need: technical knowledge, creating developer apps, copying tokens or codes. You just authorize with your Facebook account — we do the rest securely.
Before you start — check that you have this
For Messenger
- ✅ A Facebook Page for your business (not a personal profile).
- ✅ Your personal Facebook account must be an administrator of that Page (full access / "Full access").
How do you know if you're an admin? Go to your Page on facebook.com. If you can edit the Page and see its message inbox, you're an admin. If in doubt, go to the Page → Settings → Page Access.
For Instagram (optional)
- ✅ An Instagram Business or Creator account (not personal).
- ✅ That account must be linked to your Facebook Page(Instagram → Settings → Account → Switch to professional account; then link it from the Facebook Page → Settings → Linked Accounts).
For WhatsApp (optional)
- ✅ A phone number that is NOT currently registered in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app (or that you're willing to migrate).
- ✅ Access to that phone to receive a verification code by SMS or call.
Step by step — connect in 4 clicks
Step 1 · Click "Connect" in the platform
Sign in to your platform account and go toSettings → Channels → Connect Meta (or the "Connect Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp" button in your panel).
Do it from a computer, not from mobile, and make sure your browserallows popups from facebook.com. If the popup doesn't open, look for the "popup blocked" icon in the address bar and allow the popups.
Step 2 · Sign in with Facebook
A facebook.com window will open asking you to sign in (if you don't have a session already open). Use the personal account that isadmin of your Page.
Always verify that the window is on facebook.com(check it in the popup's address bar). Never type your Facebook password in a window that isn't facebook.com.
Step 3 · Choose what to connect
Facebook will show you a series of screens where you choose what to share:
- Select your Facebook Page (if you manage several, check only the one for the business you want to connect).
- If you're going to connect Instagram, also select the linked Instagram account when it appears.
- If you're going to connect WhatsApp, the wizard will ask you: choose or create your Business portfolio, choose or create your WhatsApp Business account, enter the phone number and verify it with the code that arrives by SMS or call.
Step 4 · Accept the permissions
The last screen lists the permissions the platform needs (for example, "Manage and access Page conversations"). Leave them all enabled and click Done.
If you disable any permission, the connection will complete "halfway" and the bot won't be able to read or reply to messages. If that happened, don't worry: disconnect and connect again leaving everything enabled.
✅ Done
The window closes by itself and in the platform you'll see your channel asConnected. Send a test message to your Page from another account to see it arrive.
Frequently asked questions
Does this give the platform access to my personal Facebook account?
No. It only authorizes access to the Page (and/or the business Instagram/WhatsApp) you choose, with the permissions you accept on screen. Your personal profile, your photos and your personal private messages stay out of it.
Can I disconnect whenever I want?
Yes, two ways: from the platform (the channel's Disconnect button) or from Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations, where you can remove the platform's access at any time.
The popup doesn't open / stays blank.
It's almost always the browser's popup blocker. Allow popups from facebook.com and retry. If you use an ad blocker, turn it off for this step.
My Page doesn't appear in the list.
Check that the account you signed in with is a full-access administrator of the Page. If the Page belongs to a Business portfolio (Business Manager), your user needs full access to the Page within that portfolio.
My WhatsApp number is "already in use".
That number is registered in the WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business app. You must remove it from the app first (Settings → Account → Delete account) or use another number. The removal takes a few minutes to free the number.
